Ex-Governor Abubakar to Head APC Delegate Congress in Anambra

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has established committees for the upcoming 2025 governorship delegate congress in Anambra State, appointing former Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar, as the Chairman of the Delegates Congress Committee. This announcement was made in a statement released on Friday by Sulaiman Argungu, the APC National Organising Secretary, from the party's National Secretariat in Abuja.

The Delegates Congress Committee is tasked with overseeing the election of delegates who will play a crucial role in selecting the party's gubernatorial candidate for the 2025 Anambra elections. The committee is composed of experienced party members and stakeholders, including Mohammed Abubakar as Chairman, along with Egogbamu Okoro, Ba’ande Imam, Augustine Agada, Babangida Abdullahi, Umar Hassan Augie, and Dr. Chibuzor Nduaguda. Furthermore, the party has established a Delegates Congress Appeal Committee, led by Albert Abiodun Adeogun, to handle any grievances or appeals that may arise from the delegate congress.

The appeal committee also includes members Ibrahim Shehu, Yakubu Bello, Abdulkadir Jajeri, and Luka Haruna. To facilitate the effective execution of the process, the party has appointed key officials to manage the Secretariat for both the Delegates Congress and the Appeal Committee, including Sani Galadima, Owo Onyedikachi, Ahmed Gaidam, Aso Amata Othuke, and Adamu Doma. Additionally, the APC has designated zonal coordinators to oversee the delegate congress across the three senatorial zones of Anambra State. In Anambra North, Ukkasha Ham has been appointed.
